We are still trying to figure out time difference – we are 18 hours ahead of the west coast. (It is 7:15am Friday, the 15th and if I am not totally messed up it is 3:15pm on the 14th at home.) Charlie has had 2 days of birthdays!
We did not do much yesterday the 14th. We did walk around the western Shinjuku area where our hotel is – this is an area of the skyscrapers because in the 1923 earthquake, this area wasn’t touched. The buildings are beautiful and everything is very clean. We walked over to the Tokyo Metropolitan Govt. Office (TMG 1) and went up to the observation deck – amazing views. On clear winter days, you can see Mount Fuji. It is not winter and it was not very clear thus no Mount Fuji!
We just relaxed in the afternoon. We ended up eating our dinner by “grazing” at the Happy Hour on the Executive Floor.
It is now the 15th and we are getting packed up to head over to our tour hotel and start the “Tour.” We have no clue about email possibilities so…..we will check in when we can. Tomorrow we will be taking a city tour that much we know and then the following day we head overland to the town of Hakone, the area by Mount Fuji.
