Well, your “avid travelers” are busy packing bags again, but on this trip we are heading west or east depending on your point of view. We are off to Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. This does not mean we have not been traveling since our last blog. In December 2009 we met in Hawaii with our kids and grandkids, then a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia (December and January 2010), the Panama Canal and Columbia in April, and Ireland and London in May. This does not count many trips north to Portland and Seattle to visit our children and grandchildren. We love our time with the little ones!
Most of these trips either had spotty Internet connections or we did not have enough free time to write a blog. We are planning to try a blog again- hopefully, it will work out. We are leaving Tuesday, October 12th and flying to Tokyo where we will be joining an Overseas Adventure Travel tour of Japan. The tour ends on October 27th and then we are traveling on our own to Seoul and then to Singapore. We fly back to the states on November 8th.
We had an email from our guide in Japan and her nickname is Lucy so we emailed back that our little granddaughter's name is Lucy. She emailed back that she was "most honored" to be sharing the same name.
Tomorrow we will be getting the last minute "chores" done and then to bed early so we can be ready Tuesday morning at 3:30am for "Super Shuttle" to take us to the airport.
